Get Paid $2,000 to Binge Watch TV
Attention: Your dream gig is finally here.
Many people are spending lots of time binge-watching their favorite TV shows and movies while they’re under stay-at-home or self-quarantine orders to combat the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19), so why not make some money off of it?
Not that binge-watching is a particularly new phenomenon, but having to be stuck at home certainly has ramped up the practice of sitting on the couch and re-watching The Office for the 900th time. We’re guilty of this too.
Now, CableTV.com, which researches, compares, and reviews TV, internet, and streaming services, is looking for five binge-watching pros to watch every episode of every season of their favorite TV series.
Each binge-watcher will receive $2,000 for their time, a one-year subscription to their preferred streaming service, a comfy blanket, a $100 GrubHub gift card, candy, popcorn, other treats, and the book “Remote: Office Not Required” by Jason Fried and David Heinemeier.
As for the TV show, that’s entirely up to you (if chosen). People can choose shows with two or three seasons or ones that have been running for years.

Keep in mind that you’re making your own assignment. The show you choose will ultimately break down to how much you’d prefer to be paid by the hour.
For example, if you want to watch a brand new or short-run show, like The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel or Community your hourly pay adds up to about $49 (for Community) or $104 (for Maisel) per hour. If you want to watch a show with a ton of episodes, like The X-Files, your hourly pay breaks down to $12.
So, you basically need to choose a show based on how much your time is worth to you. But in the end, everyone gets the same $2,000 for the show they binge-watch. But if you have to take time off of your regular gig to do this project, the number of hours you spend doing this can really make a difference.
In order to apply, fill out the application on CableTV.com. You should be over 18 years of age, be a legal resident of the United States, and be active on social media. Applicants must also write a short paragraph detailing why they’re the best for the job.
